Amber Portwood |
A judge in Indiana reimposed the “Teen Mom” star’s original
jail sentence on Tuesday after Portwood asked to be removed from a drug rehab
program she’d been unable to fulfill as part of a plea agreement.
According to a report from TMZ, the 21-year-old was in court
on the morning of June 5 when the judge reimposed the sentence that stemmed
from her December drug arrest.
Amber’s five-year sentence could have been avoided had she
completed her drug rehabilitation program, but she couldn’t stay clean, saying
she will always be a “bad girl.”
The judge will now refer Portwood to the Indiana Department
of Corrections therapeutic community program, an incarceration-based treatment
